Working on a "Round Robin" friendship challenge at guild, I have been working on many new border ideas.   Please enjoy this tutorial.  

Keep a strong contrast in color between your center and outside strips. 

This is the "Round Robin" after my border has been added.   Adding only the top and bottom border changed the shape of the quilt to a rectangle.
